We live in a world where it is acceptable for a woman to hit a man, however if that man were to retaliate by physically harming her, he would be frowned upon and quite possibly imprisoned.
Double standards are a rule(s) or principle(s) unfairly applied in different ways to different people or groups.
It is very wrong to hit a woman, but it is also awful to hit a man. Keep your hands to yourself.
It’s assault either way no matter who did what, but I know if a woman hit me and I was dumb enough to hit her back I would be the idiot with bruised pride going to jail way before she ever would, simply because these double standards I’ve mentioned are likely to be unlawfully upheld by law enforcement. Although if you feel as though your safety is at risk, you can hit someone back using reasonable force. Moral of this story: if a woman hits you, run away. It’s not worth hitting her back. Wait… no. The story’s moral is to keep your crazy hands to yourself whether you are male, female or somewhere in between. Thanks.
Okay, so now let’s talk about hoes, sluts, whores, thots and skets. Can men be any of these things? Theoretically, yes, but why are women labelled like this for their promiscuity when men are not? Double standards of course. Feminists who believe in equality for women will tell you men who sleep around are just as bad as women who do the same and, looking at things objectively, I’d find it hard to disagree or disprove this. Double standards are usually cemented into our social norms and values at a very early age and I believe they favour women slightly in today’s society as more and more things have become acceptable or expected of each sex.
Heterosexual males would ordinarily be ridiculed or frowned upon for wearing skirts (not kilts or religious wear) or high heels etc. while women can more or less get away with wearing whatever they like within reason. I may be incredibly biased because I’m a sexist pig, but I actually can’t think of any more evidence of double standards affecting women right now. Who knew their lives were so good?
In all seriousness, I like to believe as people we are all equal (rhyming not intended- I’m not that corny), just a little different. Whether we are different appearance wise, mentally, class wise, gender wise or however else, I feel we are no better than another being, so keep your hands and your judgement to yourself so we can live in harmony.
